About
Never deceive in what remains unseen.
MilleFI takes its name from Mille Fidélité — “a thousand acts of fidelity”.
Lacquerware is created through countless layers of application and polishing. Most of these processes disappear beneath the finished surface and are never seen again.
For that reason, I believe the unseen parts matter most.
I strive not to deceive — not in materials, not in technique, and not in the work itself.
The beauty of a finished piece rests upon the integrity of everything hidden beneath it.
The name MilleFI is a reminder of that commitment: to approach each stage of the process with care, honesty, and respect.
